Would you buy these shoes?

I see Green Cross are offering a competing productr to the Crocs shoes. It's called a Wock and is apparently made by a Portugese company.

Some features:

- Anti-slip and antistatic
- Machine washable up to 90°C and steam autoclavable up to 135°C
- Removable anatomical flexible insole

I'm thinking of stocking these in my shop. So the question is would you be willing to buy these shoes? What would you be willing to pay? The RRP is around R530.
 
Personally hell no :eek: Crocs aint for me but they should sell a lot mate...I mean look at crocs...I hate them but so many people buy them :D
 
I agree with most so far... crocs not my thing, but lotsa peeps dig em. So they should sell. Green Cross always known for good wearing!

That actually sums up my feeling on the subject pretty well. I think it's the most difficult thing to decide on shoe styles etc. to stock. You can't only stock what YOU would want to wear, but it's hell to try to anticipate the styles other people would go for.

BTW: Anyone know what Crocs go for? R530 seems a bit steep to me.

i would not be caught dead in them.
 
If I HAD to choose between the two, I would take the Green Cross ones every time.

Although I wouldn't buy any.
 
Have to agree with the others - I've always disliked Crocs and these seem no different to me.

Crocs are the most brilliant invention in shoe design.
I wouldn't buy the Green Cross one. No ventilation holes on top, no strap to to keep them on your feet when you really need to keep them on your foot firmly.
 
I wouldn't wear them, but it's personal I'm used to wearing leather or leather and strong cotton shoes, wearing a cloglike shoe style often results in people shuffling and walking slightly bent forward.
(from what I have personally observed)

Clog type shoes would slow me down and make me clumsy, but I suppose people who choose clog types are not concerned about that, only about being comfortable right there and then.

Since I don't know anything about clogs, but from the looks, they seem to be made of rubber ? So I presume they can build up electrostatic (when worn with wool socks or worn on wool/polytype carpets) and also melt unto feet in an accident where there is fire.

Clogs/crocs are not for individuals who like natural fibres or who prefer to remain agile.

My sister owns a pair lol
