I was wondering would you name your car or if you have named your car what did you call it and what kind of car is it?

I ask as i just got my new car and its the car i wanted and i feel "she" ;) deserves a name. My BF on the other hand thinks im being a bit ridiculous.

I don't think a new car should have a name. I had a 1200 Toyota bakkie a long, long time ago with so much personality (Another word for bumps and rust spots) that I called Edie, after the old Cult song.
New cars have hundreds of clones riding around, but hey, as long as you name it without putting it's name in curly calligraphy on the back window...........O wait, that's not what you want to do, is it?

I hate to point out the obvious but ALL cars have names already. Hilux, Polo, Golf, Auris, Corsa, 157, 135i.

IMO a already named (see above) car with some lame sticker on that back window reading "Saartjie" is just dumb. Rather get a personalised license plate.

A cool one is "Pa se Bulletjie" with neon pink testicles on the towbar. :o

Yes because that is so much less common

If it's a Getz or Jarris...call it RoadKill. :D

ROFL :D

My old Jag was called Shere Khan. It seemed rather appropriate...

I was thinking of calling her Heidi as she is a german car...... :D

Heidi was Swiss

Personally i think that only _OLD_ cars with nothing else but character should get names.

I used to drive and old rusted lime green Datsun 120Y... my mates used to call it "The green mamba" or "The Lamborgreeny".

In your defense ... if you pay the installments, you can call it whatever you like. To hell with what everyone else thinks.
