cmon guys, disconnect, stop the account, go outside. Its pointless to play.

It's not pointless to play.. It's pointless to keep playing forever.. It's about fun, and if you are still having fun playing WoW then so be it. If however it becomes a chore like it did for me: QUIT.

Agreed. only question is do i accept the $220 offered to me for my acc?

Yes you do accept it. When you sold your account, your perception changes.. See if you can muster the courage to level a toon to 70 again, in the same world, with the same quests, with the same blah blah blah... Depending on how long you played, the cash you make out of selling your account could be considered ROI (return on investment) if it's more than what you paid monthly subscriptions for in total.

Good luck! :P

Well i havnt played wow in 8 months but to me i think thats a good vacation from wow.. il prob not play until the end of this year but im not worried as i will start playin again. The thing is ppl get bored and wanna quit.. iv had mates that hav quit sold their accounts and now are playing wow again..

Ppl say that its a waste of money and time but its the total opposite as for one u saving more money then u spend and 2nd of all u are staying out of trouble :D

Well thats my view

Yeah I think if you wanna quit, then do it. Dont make your problems ours. I play wow a bit, but do still have a social life. I have been playing for over a year now and am not at the point of quitting just yet. Next expansion on its way lol. Release date november btw.

I use to spend non stop 24/7 playing in World of Warcraft, but not anymore. ;) Those days are good year and a half past. Ive only played WoW now and again, for like 2 hours a week or so when I am bored. Do something quick and logout. Still fun for me, it just doesn't take preference to other activities of my life, like college and my girlfriend.

for some people online games are a way of life and if it makes them happier then going out, its their choice :)

But for me the sun and beer is wayyyyyyyy cooler :p

My social life actually increase more than when I started playing WoW. the only thing I dont like tho, if you congragate with other wow players, instead of just braaing and drinking and talking ****, you end up talking dps and stuff I don't really care what the +5 item does and how it affects things
I wanna pardy :D

Please go troll some other forum...

Telling the WoW community to stop playing is exactly the same as going to the console community and tell them to stop.

EDIT: In b4 "You have no life if you play wow" crap. Dont make the same mistake as Gdiza

Agree with Option!

Troll somewhere else, please...

Bugger off

That was an amusing Friday.

Personally WoW is my stress relief. I spend 3+ hours a day in Traffic and work another 9 so when I get home I want to find out how my fiance's day was an unwind.

Nothing unwinds like 25 people beating the living excrement out of something. Also a beer or glass of whiskey helps :P

Agreed lol. We get home at night and usually get food made and sit and play wow. Weekends we are out and about. Got my better half addicted to WOW (i sometimes feel bad inside lol)

What pisses me off about nubs like the poster and various other idiots. They say playing computer games is for kids, etc, etc. Those same noobs go home at night and veg infront of the TV. I would rather be entertained for a while and interact with other ppl, than watch some pointless program on tv.

So ppl like Gdiza and saffakanera can kiss my ass. I really dont need their advice on what entertains me and what i do for enjoyment.

Been playing WoW since Jan 2006 - thats a good two years.

My experience have just been positive. Before I started playing WoW I used to go out a lot and do really crazy things, and it was just something to do mostly, habits.

These days I go out when I have the urge, but I prefer to play WoW or watch movies with my bro, who also plays and is really good at the game.

In the end, I guess it depends largely on your personality type. If you are the person who like to be social in a public place, chances are you will still be the same after playing WoW. If you are the quiet type who used to sit at home and watch TV, you can just replace the TV with WoW and already be better off.

Its all about balance. I know the above examples are the two extremes, but I believe you alone are responsible for how you spend your time, WoW cannot make you do things you don't want to do....can it??

Non-traditional forms of socialising FTW.

We are simply the most commonly cited example of how traditional views of what constitutes 'Social Activity' cannot be used as a metric in todays society.
