WoW vs WAR

Haha and this after so many said "The cool thing is you dont have to get to max level to really enjoy and appreciate WAR...unlike WoW"

I suppose expecting a mature response was a little optimistic of myself.

At least some of us can admit when we are/were wrong.

Uhhmmm ""I suppose expecting a mature response was a little optimistic of myself.""
Immature?
Skurm, relax man, smile a bit.
"At least some of us can admit when we are/were wrong."
Dont have to get defensive.
I wasnt referring to you specifically. It was a general feeling a lot of people had.

I disagree,

Yes a bulk amount of the game opens up at 40 (nice gear, lairs, dungeons). But theres alot more during the 'leveling' than in WOW.

T2 is where it starts imo, with Fort sieges, now those are almost always under siege :D. Then T3 gets intense and apparently T4 is just a grind for gear at the moment, since theres a lack of high levels and it requires the lvl 65-75 renown gear to face to the Leaders of the factions (Endgame at the moment).

T1 you can do everything, only on a smaller scale. Its like AoC's Tortage, its the starting zones where you learn all the tutorials.

I left WoW for a reason. I dont see myself resubbing just to have that reason lurk up on me again.

Well that actually still applies, you can do -everything- while leveling and they DO have rewards. It's just the playerbase are playing the game like WoW, and instead of PvP'ing -right now- they want to level to 40 with the fastest and most efficient path possible.

It's similar to the effect that you CAN do battlegrounds at some arb level in WoW, say lvl 35 ...but it's ultimately unrewarding to do so. WAR obviously fixed this dilemma.

Unfortunately the Scenarios are the most efficient/shortest route to 40 right now, and you can guess what happens. People are grinding the scenarios similar to lvl 70s grinding AV in WoW....except it's not Honor, but straight XP.

So you still CAN go out and Quest and RvR, but you might find there's no one else there...making it feel like that it's only going to happen at lvl 40.

Luckily the Scenarios are not restricted to the same 4, and you are forced to play a new "set" of scenarios every 10 levels [each Tier], you can't go back and play the lower Tier scenarios etc etc. So at this stage, Scenarios are STILL alot of fun regardless...

Unfortunately people will pick the 'grind' over the 'fun' if the grind gives them better stuff.
Simple human nature, I guess.

Yea I must say its the grind that kills it for me though.
As a pre-nerf Exalted timbermaw dude... I have done my fair share of grinding.
Now with the expansion coming, I am asking myself, do I see myself grinding faction rep over and over again... bleh... but all in all, I reckon its part of what gives you that sense of accomplishment in WoW.

TBH you can do a lot in WoW while leveling too.
Things is, there are a couple more things you can do at 70....and most are also more fun.
I dont see how this would be different in WAR, the higher you get the more you can do and the more fun it gets.
More fun because of more skills, better equipment, better grasp of you class etc.
After a game has matured and been around for a while, there is also a lot more people at max level which makes a big difference.

When i tried War i was basically doing exactly the same as WoW. Scenarios/BGs and Quests and PQ/Instances. When i went to a Keep i was greeted with crickets chirping in the distance. So all in all you pretty much do the same things when leveling up.
Perhaps WoW has more to do in endgame. Because you get raids and Arena, whereas War only gets City Sieges AFAIK.

At the end of the day everyone wants to be at the level cap, regardless of how fun the leveling process is. Noone is going to sit at a certain level to enjoy something for longer then a hour or 2. Unless its a twink of something
