wrt54gl keeps on throwing settings away

Hey ,

i've got a customer with telkom spacestream express.

their gilat (skystar 360e) unit only allows 8 Natted IP's... and they are about 20 users.

so i've decided a while back to use a linksys wrt54gl with ddwrt as router.

did a STATIC ip setup from 360e so that each user gets a IP range 192.168.1.2+ (thus dubble natting in a way)

now the problem comes in: often they get me out to check network failure to find that the Static IP has done a reset to automatic DHCP mode - altho i have verified that the info is SAVED and the UNIT rebooted.

suspecting EMP from lightning - not damaging - but resetting it (hard) . IP and u/p of the linksys AP is always intact tho as i set it afterwards.

any 2c welcome
 
I had this problem once. It was so weird. I came in one day and all the settings on my router had spazzed out. I set it all up again, and made a backup that included all my settings. I havent had the problem since.
 
I often get this on my WRT's, after power failures. Also running dd-wrt. Busy testing other firmware.
