Is it giving you an error message?

I used to fix DSTV decoders by the dozens. It's a fault in the board design and a single capacitor on the board blows. Replacing it costs about 45c, but we charged customers R400 for the 10min job.

Rip off? Well, considering the only other option is sending it to Multichoice in Jhb and wait 2 weeks ... for the same price. You decide :rolleyes:

The real rip off is I got paid R200/week by the owner because I was still a student. :mad:

it works for about an hour then drops the signal and doesnt pick it up again, have to put the decoder off for a while. now it doesnt get a signal at all

I just set my decoder not to do auto updates. I just do them when i feel like it.

This also falls under the WTF DSTV!!!!!!!!!
They just suspended out account because we behind in payments but September is payed up and they set the next months bill trough today and now it says we behind in payment. WTF!!!!! And do you think we can get the bliksem at the callcenter, going on a hour waiting time atm!!!!! Also this happens about every 3de month now.
