More often than not, when I search using Google, clicking on one of the links results in a 'Waiting for www.google.co.za...' annoyance which unless you refresh the page a couple of times does nothing. This has been going on for weeks now. It's bloody irritating!!

In most cases this is NOT Google related but rather your ISP - trust me Google rarely has issues with their cloud servers

I have never experienced that one. Most be an ISP issue or maybe something with your computer.

I've experienced the same on MWEB's 384kb uncapped a lot lately.

It's not ISP related. Neither is it my browser or my hardware. From some of the responses it's clear I'm not the only one.

Thanks...

I have had issues with google for years and on many ISPs. Have never got to the bottom of it and I can't find anyone else who experiences the same (except for people using my line). I think there is something odd with my line and Google but doesn't make much sense ;)

My problem is that searching Google is a nightmare. Every search I have to stop and refresh, then it works. Gmail is also incredibly unrealiable.

Sounds like your slow connections to me.. Highly doubt its Google side otherwise everyone would experience it. I use Gmail and Google search pretty much all day every day and never experience these issues.

Slow connections? Nope. 10Mbit and I have this too. It's ONLY Google and Gmail.
