It's afrihost and you did more than 30GB (issit these days) and they are throttling you to *****s!
 
Anything running on IS today is horrible, my Openweb uncapped 4mbit account is crawling along

:D Explain to me how seacom feeds a server in Pta exactly? This is a linespeed problem, ie either a problem on your exchange or your ISP throttling you, period!
 
LOL I am running an unshaped account right now & have justed realised that international is rather slow.

haven't done speed test though

Who has argued that? of course the network needs an upgrade, it has needed one for over 6 years now... try to understand a little more about the history of our internet and what the current problems are please.

Do you feel cool by calling me a troll? Uncapped started recently which is why I stated the urgency of the upgrade. Why do so many people here act like total A-holes on this forum? F-off.

No idea man, all I know is that an upgrade is needed ASAP.

EDIT: So what exactly is the reason as to why the internet is slow at the moment? I am in the dark because of my garbage ISP.

You understand nothing of how the internet works here. You just saw uncapped offers and blamed it on them... Try do some research before you make statements like that, else you just end up looking like a fool to all. enough said.

As for the afrihost speedtest ask telkom to resync your line, that helped me once with my afrihost connection and try to a pingtest to find out more.

The people with those accounts are not being harmed at all, they have a very low connection ratio and I believe they have prio over the shaped uncapped people should the network get congested.
