But do you really need the car in the UK? For most people it is a luxury rather than a necessity in the UK.

We’re not those nations who lives from days to day, we live year to year

I’m just waiting for those days then everything is free just like solar power and wind power and sex some times, depends on the type of flowers

P.S. It can be tricky

Now I have to take my cone filter out :( Way too expensive. Will only have a bike around August.

It makes the car slower anyway, just modify your airbox you get better power!;)

Ye the American killed the Electric car so the Oil will still be needed, they even brainwashed the world into thinking bigger fuel guzzling 4x4 were "safer" and the way of the future.
They won!!

Milton Keynes is very much like Pretoria or JHB. You need a car :)

Um, who benifits from the world's continued dependence on oil? America is not exactly the number 1 oil exporter.

Yip but its their reliance on oil that makes them money!!
The big boys like Texaco etc buy oil and sell it to make lots of profits!!!

G Bush senior, played a pivotal role in helping kill the electric car, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car, they still run today.
After G Bush senior (Who was next? Reagon?) he tried bringing back the electric car and reduced as much dependance on foreign oil as possible and even went as far as putting solar panels on the white house roof to save energy.

After he left, the panels were taken down! Oil imports increased and never stopped, till today Im sure the US can cut its foreign oil ties by atleast 25%, but why should they....

One of these days people will work with Wifi LAN’s and they will all send their emails and stuff via WLAN to be burned on a cd’s and post it to it’s destination some how because petrol and broadband also cost more than food and milk these days, it’s crazy, someone will need to take some action, lets make our beautiful land, South Africa, South Africa again please, we need to seriously upgrade our land’s anti virus software and update your Ad-Aware SE Personal also and eliminate the living crap and make the Rand go higher than the USD $$

Who Killed The Electric Car?
That not a k@k question I must say, do you know you need electricity to be able to drive a Electric Car and the best and easiest and most cheapest way to generate electricity is petrol or diesel, but if you use nuclear it’s even cheaper but you will have some radio active materials that will be very into decay mode and emit some nice α, β, γ rays - Alpha, Beta and Gamma
Not nice, and you cannot dispose that stuff it stays in decay mode for a very long time, isn’t is something like 1000 years or more
And today the worlds population get higher and you wont be able to begrawe that stuff any more in the plakkers kamp.

So some people somewhere will need to leave a beer bottle and design something to get free clean energy and maybe bomb the oil companies if they give k@k !!! - recommended

everytime someone says muslim and suicide-bomber in the same sentence OPEC makes oil more expensive, hence they laugh all the way to the bank :|

Thanks Bwana,

My info is clearly out of date.

Doesn't look like a bad deal.

No way. Don't do it. Watch Top gear. They are not even the most econimical car around. many diesels get much better economy, cost less, and drive way better.

As for these new petrol price hikes. is all i can say to that.

Actually the cheapest way to generate electricity is usually coal.

Cars cannot drive on coal though, but you right, if it comes to power stations it’s the cheapest, but I’m sure coal will release some CO2 because it contains Carbon
