I found some unpaid fines on there since 2004?

On viewfine you can actually let it send you an sms as soon as a fine is loaded against your id/name...

On www.viewfines.co.za there is another 5 offences listed, but under Status they are all "Withdrawn". Anyone have any ideas why they would all be withdrawn? They total R1200.
I did a search for Warrants, but there are none.

This site is fairly up to date. I have fines from 2004 on there as well, all of the withdrawn. Since registering with them, I receive email notifications of the status of fines. Quite cool since you can see your photos as well But I wonder if the fact that you receive sms/email notifications would serve as confirmation that you did receive the fine and are aware of it?

EDIT: It's not just for the East Rand.

Basically the fine is cancelled for some or other reason. In my gallery there is a photo of me speeding but the fine was withdrawn. I presume it is because the car in front of me is a police/traffic vehicle

www.viewfines.co.za seem much more up to date. I have received fines and then tried to enter the notice number on www.payfine.co.za and it did not find anything. The fact that I had the ticket in my hand means the site is not up to date.

Heard a commercial on radio where Metro or JHB city promotes the www.payfine.co.za website, wonder why then?

I believe they're supposed to process the fine within 30 days of you getting the fine.

So it might be that the fine was withdrawn as the fine was processed too late.

patfine pick up about 8 fines in joburg for me but viewfine only in in cape
