XBMC Supersport Addon

I noticed supersport have a separate page with Olympic ONLY live streams:

So I modified my program to check that page also - released V1.55

[If you are still using V1.5 my program will notify you and provide you with updated download on program startup]

Not really tested this new version much so if you have problems go back to V1.5 (link posted 2 posts above this one)
I did notice that with this latest version [1.55] the stream menu takes much longer to appear because my program now parses 2 pages for live stream instead of one.

Edit: Just noticed that some of the upcoming streams on the olympic page also appear on the "normal" live page - so this new version might have duplicates in the stream menu. Any case - I will fix it in a later version but at least the program now has olympic streams as well..

Thx enerdude. As well as for the info on how to to fix the XBMC addon. I will have the first fix out for live streams tonight.

The code to fix the Live streams are done, basically just need to add multiple descryption key checking/testing and then add the code for the highlights. Will also have a look and see if I can add in the Olympic stuff, but that will be a latter version.

Glad it is working for you guys so far...I think the next olympics stream will be the Opening Ceremony at 21:45 tonight - then I will know if my program works 100% for olympic streams as well ;)

What username and password do I need for this to work ? I have a premium account by DSTV fyi. Do I use my account details ?

You use whatever details you used to register on the DSTV website. Create a profile, link your smart card number to the account and you're on your way...

Changes:

* Fixed bug in V1.55 wherby login details were saved in clear text instead of being
 encrypted.
* Added "-olympics" command line switch. By default the program will now only
 retrieve the "normal" live streams unless this switch is specified.
* Included sslsdolympics.bat that will run the program with the -olympics switch
 in order to retrieve olympics streams as well

If you are running V1.5 or higher my program will check for updates and notify you of the new download link

When running the program with the -olympics switch it will be indicated in the stream menu by the text
"Current available: [including olympic streams]" otherwise it will just show "Current available:"

Alright XBMC addon updated to ver 1.04 which fixes the new live streaming. Will still have to spend some time to get the highlights and olympic stuff in. Something for later the weekend, I am quite tired and time to rest a bit after a long day at work and spending a good 40 minutes fixing the addon, which have waaaay to many legacy code in now, which I am still figuring out.

Those with the repo addon will automatically get the update when your XBMC check, or you can manually go check it out for the addon.

Just want to mention, I have now included the code for the Highlights, and while the URL is retrieved and added to the menu, it seems XBMC for some reason doesn't like the .mp4 files from the Highlights. Tested on both Eden and Frodo (Frodo is still in beta, but has the new Audioengine for HDMI ect).

That's not new. On Eden and many of the files, while returned in the results, simply wouldn't play when clicked. Good to know it wasn't just me though because until now I suspected it was...

Yeah, I suspect its some form of DRM, which other players might happily play, but the XBMC devs refuse to add any DRM code to the player.
 
Tinuva, any luck at getting the Supersport Olympic streams into the XBMC plugin? I was looking tirelessly for a way to stream the swimming last night on my XBMCbuntu box which is connected to my TV. After going through multiple plugin that did not work due to me not being in the UK or US, I eventually retired to the study to stream it on my PC through the browser.

PS, thanks for the great work and time you've put into this plugin.
 
Tinuva, check your pm. Sent though a fix to get the highlights working.
