XBMC Supersport Addon

Working on a raspbmx on a Rapberry pi as well.
 
Have they upgraded the stream quality lately? Cricket looks much crisper than usual, checked resolution and its full PAL resolution (720x576). Has it always been like this?

I also noticed it today. Not sure if it is the first time it is so high for a particular stream cause I dont stream the channels very often...

But yesterday the cricket stream's resolution was only 480x360.

Analyzed some of the live streams today and found the following resolutions / bitrates :

Highest: 720x576 [1200kbps video, 48 kbps audio = 1248 kbps total]
Mid: 480x360 [650 kbps video, 48 kbps audio = 698 kbps total]
Low: 480x360 [452 kbps video, 48 kbps audio = 500 kbps total]

I am almost sure before today 480x360 @ 698kbps was the highest....

Still far short of 1920x1080i @ 15Mbps over the sat. Nothing less will do for me watching the F1 GP thats about to start.

With our average broadband speed in SA we can only dream about getting such streams via the internet. Maybe in the year 3000 :D

Well depends on the speed & scope of Telkom's MSAN rollout. A decent portion of the major metro regions could have the necessary capability in 12-24 months.

The real question is will MC allow the online quality to challenge that over sat?

Yeah and if it will be viable to produce such high bitrate streams for the few [that have enough bandwidth] that can really take advantage of it

edit: ..and not forgetting, we are talking about Telkom here...so year 3000 might be accurate :D

I keep getting a script failed error for live streams all of a sudden. Was working fine until a few minutes ago...:mad:

Now every time I click on live stream it attempts to retrieve the feeds and then returns a script failed error...
 
Still keep getting a script failed error when I try to load the live streams list. Everything else is fine.

Anyone else having this problem?
 
I'll have a look, but on saturday and sunday things still worked for me.

The website doesn't look any different so not sure why it fails on loading the list, maybe a slight change in the code on the website.
 
It was working fine yesterday for me too. Then I swapped to the golf and it borked. Tried reinstalling - but nothing...
