XBMC Supersport Addon

I've got a Linux install of XBMC (not nightly or Eden) and I just downloaded the repository and installed the addon from there.

However, I noticed that for some reason in SupersportNavigation.py, monitor.py and default.py the addon was being referenced as "plugin.video.supersport2" and "plugin.video.supersport" instead of "plugin.video.dstvsupersport".
As such, it was failing when you tried to run it.

I just changed them to all reference "dstvsupersport" instead and now it works perfectly. (Although the program list takes an awful long time to load.)

Not sure if tinuva is currently working on the version in the repository and that's why it was all wrong.
I'll fix that up. It was some of the things I was changing when trying to figure out why people had install issues. So, I'll clean it up.

Doesn't look like the live stream navigations are working with the iOS build. Trying to get it to work on my iPad at the moment, but it doesn't load the live sport or olympics properly. Works fine on my linux box though. Too tired now to shovel through logs, will check tomorrow to see if I can find out whats going on.

Btw, are you using the nightly builds or not? There is an issue with the nightly builds on live streams.

I found the file and edited it, the streams are working flawlesly on the ATV2.

It seems to be broken again. I get a script failed error when I try to switch it on. Damn you, SuperSport...

I have had about 5% failures on logins alone, sometimes you just have to retry, because if the webserver doesn't reply you get a script error. If I get time I will see if I can have it so that it rather tells you there is a problem with retrieving code from their website instead of a script error.

Yeah, worked fine for me last night.

Strange thing was, I'm on a 1meg line and kept getting buffering pauses whilst using the plugin. As soon as I switched to streaming through a browser the issues went away. Everything else remained the same.

Mine also managed to log in but I have constant buffering issues. And I am on a 50MB/s line here in Singapore. No issues with any sites at all, except streaming via the plugin which buffers...

Ah, so it's not just me ;)

Yeah I am not sure what the buffering issues are about. The plugin doesn't handle it, it basically just figure out the urls, and hand it over to XBMC to display and play ect. It would be interesting to find out if its possible to pass on some paramters to XBMC to buffer more time on these streams ect or handle them a bit differently to help with the buffering issues.

Yeah sounds like a XBMC issue but also keep in mind that some of the streams is streamed at 1248 kbps (like the cricket stream yesterday) which will definately buffer on a 1meg line. Most streams is 700 kbps or lower though....

@enerdude, thanks for al your efforts for bringing us this app. It's simply awesome. Thanks you to you I can follow the Olympics (and the occasional F1)!

Also thanks for the continuous updates - we really appreciate it.

Which version of SSLSD are you running?

Hi folks, firstly thanks to enerdude, supersport sslsd is brilliant! Been using it for a few months and works flawlessly.
However in recent days, i have found the stream to be lagging quite alot. Anyone else experience the same?
Any idea or things i cant try to fix this?

Some info about my Setup if relevant,

Windows 7
i7 quad core, 2.7ghz processor
8gb Ram
2GB graphics card
VLC version 1.xx

Thanks :)
