A typo take nothing away from the fact. The KZ2 is outclassing anything Xbox ever had to offer some say. All I care it is good and proves You were wrong all along about the PS3 capabilities. It was all fanboi tripe. It also proves I made the right choice. I must say I have to thank you for it as I saw in this thread prior to the purchase your only intent was to bash the PS3 without valid argument or reason. The tables have turned.

Where did I claim that. You twist everything anyone say. I know there wont be any competition from the Xbox360 by the end of 2009. So why would I claim that. You claimed that the Xbox will sell 2million/year more than PS3 for the next 8 years. Everyone else can see you are thumbsuckling.

Yet again: it was a hypothesis based on current selling figures. It is by no means what will happen. I was making light of the fact that the PS3 is being outsold and that Sony believes that the console has a 10 year life span. Geddit? Or did that fly way above your head?

I agree with your definitions above, save for the PS3 somehow catering for class/quality. It further supports the idea that if the PS3 is not aimed specifically at gaming it will likely not be replaced by the PS4 in under 10 years.

Your personal view not what SONY is saying.

The 360 on the other hand, being gaming oriented first and foremost, will likely be replaced sooner to cater for advances in "gaming hardware" (GPU's, etc) that "hardcore gaming" consumers will be pushing for.

I stated Sony made the claim first and foremost and as PS2 proved the same I believe Sony when they say so.

Why would you want less multiplat games on any console? How exactly does a game appearing on multiple platforms automatically render it less enjoyable?

You (and others) are way to fixated on "exclusives" for some odd reason. Ideally if all games appeared on the 3 main "hardcore gaming" platforms (360,PS3,PC) it would allow us to pick consoles on hardware alone.

The key word in that statement is "rumours". There was word from Sony itself not so long ago that the envisioned lifespan of the PS3 was 10 years long. Please avoid referencing "rumors" and "ramblings" from pokey sources. They do nothing for the credibility of an argument.

So SONY is a pokey source. Maybe in your eyes M$ is not.

I am of course referring to a comparison of hardware capabilities and technical specifications. RRoD was not a factor at the time nor were reports of how widespread it was.

P.S. I'll remind you that my first 360 is currently still going strong.

Simple. You would only need to buy and maintain one platform instead of all three, thus allowing you to choose the best hardware instead of the one with certain exclusive games (or multiple platforms to avoid missing any exclusives)

Porting entire games is lazy. Using the same resources (artwork, models, textures) is fine, but porting an entire codebase from one platform is wrought with perils. I've never said otherwise.
