In that case with no Xbox One local servers or any intentions of implementing them by the looks of things that alone should be a very good reason to switch to PS4 instead.

Using the Xbox 360 as a benchmark for future projection in this case is sadly not applicable.

I completely agree with you that Xbox 360 vs PS3 for Multiplayer the Xbox 360 (and Xbox Live) was the far superior option....that however has changed drastically with the Xbox One vs PS4.

Does Sony have a local server for the PS4?

I have configured my XBL account to USA anyway. Don't care much for the local server.

I will sit on the fence and watch. As I did before with the XBox360 and PS3, I will end up buying an XBO and a PS4 at some point. Decide for myself which is best and sell the other. The first console will depend on feedback I pick up from the local community, then a bit later get the other.

Either way, due to Microsoft's complete disregard for the SA (and other) markets, the local community is likely to have a larger PS4 base. X1 is unlikely to come out before August. Most of my Xbox Live friends, many of them international, have already said that they're switching to PS4 - so I might lose out on a few but I'll retain most of them.

Gaming only - the X1 is inferior, that's pretty much a fact. Then it comes down to which exclusives you want to play.

I initially had some reservations over the layout of the PS controller though, coming from a 360. However it's a huge improvement over the previous PS controllers and the amount of time needed to adjust was pretty much zero.

Yup. I've only played with it a bit, but the controller is pretty sweet. Took what worked and just made it a little more robust and comfortable.
