external will be maxed at 32 gb, you can use flash drive also.

you can flash wd 2.5 inch drive with 60gb,120,250,320gb firmware, and put it inside the the xbox , will pick up as official xbox hdd.
I flashed a old wd 80gb with 60gb firmware works 100%.

If you buy the official xbox hdd its internal, the 4gb console just comes with and empty hdd slot, the slot is still there nonetheless

I am also looking at buying a xbox, I see some shops got the Kinect options out there as well. Is it worth looking at the package deals that comes with or without the Kinect?

get the kinect if you like to have friends over your place or have kids. it's a great bonding tool. just careful with the punches when you play boxing. lol

I do have a wii do u still think its worth the extra money or when we want to get "bonding" we can play on the wii?

Kinect is way better than wii IMO. and yeah it's worth the extra.
