Xbox Series X / S

very tempted.
always wanted to play this game.
what is not clear though is if the series/ps5 update will be free or not

Well I bought it, as I had the R235 burning me.

But waiting for Next gen patch before I even install

Edit: Dont think they will charge extra for it as GTA 6 was said to only come out 2024/5 and they make loads of $$$ on selling shark cards. Extending the game's life literally makes them more money.

Edit2: I know I am not helping... and you are welcome ;)

You're waiting for nothing. There's not going to be a next gen patch, it will likely be a standalone next gen port. They're going to monetise this game to death...

Also there is this:

While the standalone version of GTA Online will be available to players on both platforms, this new standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free exclusively to PlayStation 5 players during the first three months.

The updates are to GTA Online, not GTA V. They're sneaky like that.

This will be a standalone game, like how the PS4/X1 versions were standalone games and not updates to the PS3/X360 versions...

Flight Sim is awesome. Can't believe how crisp and smooth the game is - I'm used to the choppiness of my dad's PC. I look forward to going sightseeing whenever I can or feel like it.

What I do find surprising is how much faster it is to load compared to PC. But at the same time I find it a bit odd that loading times are as long as they are on the console.

I think I need some more time to get used to the controller. Can't really brute force my way through things.

I've gone through all the discovery flights. Next up is going through all the flight tutorials. I am slowly working my way to being able to volunteer if there is a crisis while I'm on a flight and for some reason they ask the passengers if there is anyone in board who is a pilot.

My one and only gripe is that you have to have the game running to download the world updates. Otherwise I am happy with what they've done and I'm sure it'll attract some serious flight Sim enthusiasts to the console.

Yeah, I just did a flight around Cape Town on my S Series earlier.
Really good fun and am really impressed with the processing of the graphics. No lag that was noticeable to me.
I also did the Bora Bora discovery flight and landed on the water and took off again which was fun.

I still have to go through the all of the flight training on the game and really want to get through all of it.

I've been super keen on GA for the last 2 or more years and would want to do my PPL eventually.
Due to financial constrains, this is my way in for now.

I made use of YouTuber Squirrel's Getting Started Video and his Landing's Tutorial which I found very helpful.
Especially with the rudder control sensitivity which is recommended to be set down.

The tutorials are specifically for Xbox use with the Xbox Controller.

Was telling a Pilot friend of mine about it on console. He asked if it had Keyboard and mouse support?

Will download it once I finished some installed games and clear some space.... man the game is Huge.

Yes it does have keyboard and mouse support.
I want to get a cheap set as well, think it'll be a bit better when it comes to assigning short cuts.
