Xbox Series X / S

If you were buying new, my console is now 19k.

I use it every day.

Series X is the best console I have ever owned. (the only PS I have never owned has been 5)_

If I was buying something for gaming today I would just buy PC.
Yep, price now is ridiculous and matches a mid-level gaming PC.

Until PC's have Quick Resume I will stick with my Xbox.

^ This right here is why I pref playing on Xbox vs PS5. That and the way Discord is implemented. There is other small things, that make it my primary console.

That said, if I had to buy one now, those same pro's dont validate the price compared to PS5. I do see myself switching to PS6 in 2030 or whenever the next gen drops.

Here's when the next Xbox might drop, according to AMD

If you've been patiently waiting for a new Xbox, AMD may have just hinted at how much longer you still need to wait for it to show up. During AMD's earnings call, CEO Lisa Su said work is ongoing on the semi-custom SoC that will be used in the console.

With AMD's current scheduling, a 2027 launch should be supported. However, Microsoft will obviously have the final say. What this most likely means is that there's almost no chance to see the next Xbox before 2027, but Microsoft could push it even further.

Microsoft and AMD have embarked on a strategic multi-year partnership to co-engineer silicon for the entire Xbox ecosystem. Microsoft has previously revealed that the next-gen Xbox hardware will focus on a more premium experience, while also supporting multiple form factors.

I’m a cheapskate 😂

Bought the R287 bundle

I tried as well, I so tried, game is probably the most boring I've ever played. Well besides the first 59 levels of WoW where apparently it gets good mystically after that.

My problem is that I played 1st one just before I tried the prequel

Knowing how it ended just spoiled no 2 for me in a big way.

I played the first one 15 years ago :-) thought it was great, not sure if I'd feel the same way about it now though.
But RdR2 was just soooooooo boring, oh look riding a horse through snow, oh look riding a horse there and here and oh look terrible shooting.

1st one is a linear mission-based story in an open world. There is a clear path from start to finsih
2nd one is more like a open world cowboy sim with a load of "missions" all over the place. You can play it for ages without ever getting close to the end.

I can see why some people love no 2.
