Xiaomi Mi Box / Mi Box S [Android TV OS]

Its been awfully quiet since the leak.

Anyone know how to get the DSTV Now live channels on the recommendations tab, on the top row of the home screen? My recommendations tab currently shows on demand content and I can seem to choose what falls under recommendations.

Weird. Running the latest update and I have the live channels. What version are you running on the Mibox?

Unfortunately there isn't a way... The developers of the app decide what items are displayed on the home recommendations screen based on what you watch (catch up, movies recommended etc) The live channels can be done, however, the app needs to be developed with those options in mind.

1- Download the latest "Google app for Android TV" from apkmirror.

2 - Install

3 - Go to "Settings"

4 - Scroll to "Preferences" and select "Language"

5 - Look for "English (United States)(US)" and select it

6 - Google Assistant will be enabled

Any other type of English will revert to normal voice control.

To use the "Google Assistant", click the mic icon and speak. If you want to follow up the Question or ask another question you need to hold the mic icon for a few seconds.

Tried this but cannot get pass the Google Assistant setup screen. App keeps on crashing.

Anyone else experienced this?

Have you restarted the box ?, try it first and see if it helps

How are you getting ShowBox to work? I installed via APK (OUTSIDE of Kodi) and the display is all messed up and I can't do anything....

Takealot is not the cheapest, it's R100 cheaper if you get it directly from the official distributor.

Ok, go to apps and find the Google app, uninstall it.

Now re-install the latest Google (for Android TV) app from apkmirror.
