Combined ethernet and 3 port hubs are easy enough to come by, if you do not already have one at hand.
Where do i buy the combined ethernet and usb port hub adapters that work on Mi Box 3,
I would like to know if you have a 5.1 surround system connected to the Mi Box does the passthrough work flawlessly without any issues ?Mibox S:
I purchased this from Geewhiz on Thursday and it was delivered Friday morning
The remote has one useful extra button - show all apps - the other 2 extra button is for Netflix and "live"
The doughnut shaped navigation control has less usability than the Mibox 3 - it is flat and I must look to make sure I do not press the middle button

The box itself is squared compared to the Mibox 3
What I have tested works fine (Kodi + external hddd) but it has a lot of USA only apps installed (ESPN etc)
There was one large update after I connected it to the WiFi - which gives a stronger signal than the Mibox 3 in the same location
Not sorry that I bought it...
I bought one from Takealot - the Ugreen one. It has a USB C plug on it so had to buy a USB C to USB A adapter for it.
Yes this works I have this one. Only on Oreo though. Didnt work for me on Android 6.0.1I see they also have this one, does this work with mi box
Orico USB3.0 Hub with Gigabit Ethernet Converter
Does the MiBox s have Oreo out of the box?
I believe those that updated to Oreo were faced with a number of issues, maybe just the MiBox 3?
I had zero issues with the oreo OTA update

does prime video work on the MiBox or is it also a sideload mission?
Mi Box S (2018) has Android TV 8.1(Oreo) out of the box while Mi box(2016) has Android TV 6.0 out of the box with an Oreo OTA update.Does the MiBox s have Oreo out of the box?

I have some issues... But I am still running running Android 6.0.I would like to know if you have a 5.1 surround system connected to the Mi Box does the passthrough work flawlessly without any issues ?
how is your 5.1 setup connected if I may ask, example: optical cable from dvd player to Tv or to Mi box?, and what settings did you enable on your Mi Box under the Sound SettingsI have some issues... But I am still running running Android 6.0.
If I use the HW decoder for H264 video, then passthrough works (5.1 DD).
If I use the HW+ decoder for H265 video, then passthrough doesn't work

I set the Sound to Passthrough or Auto. Both the same.
You are saying the people who are not the many people posting on forums cannot be having any issues, and that there are hundreds of millions of them? The wi-fi issues, are well documented by the few experiencing them, most do not have issues, mostly people posting here and on other forums, are those having issues, the hundred million others, do not know the forums exist.
I'm using MX Player. I had to install a CODEC pack to get the sound working (see previous posts here).Thank you so much will try when I go home , which video player are you using on the Attach filesMi box?
