Xiaomi Mi Box / Mi Box S [Android TV OS]

Thanks to Vodacom for the free Amazon Prime subscription.
But I noticed that after I open the prime app and watch something on it, it messes with my tv’s contrast or color. Android TV dashboard is a bit blur and colors are too rich.
If I switch the tv on and off it comes back to normal.

I have a Samsung UA50MU7000KXXA (don’t judge)

Anyone else with this issue.
I upgraded the OS a few weeks ago.

Issue sorted.
I enabled HDR+ on the tv and the picture looks normal again while watching anything on Prime.

Purchased one last week... Feedback on it (comparing it to my Mibox) is that it is noticeably slower due to only having 1gb ram as opposed to 2gb on the mibox, output resolution is capped at 1080p and obviously there is no USB slot as you would usually have on the mibox.

You can either power it via the USB of the TV or direct to a plug source.

It also came with a HDMI male to female extender which can come in handy.

I have a mi stick , initially it was a little laggy but they sorted it out with a firmware update a while ago. Now just as slick as the mi box.

That said, the hdr support is lacking on the S, and this is where the google tv rocks it.

My only issue is that on he google tv, the google tc tab is greeted out so it doesn’t recommend videos etc

Just installed Prime Video on my Mi Box. Don't seem to get 5.1 audio... I get 5.1 (DD+) on Netflix.

Any suggestions?

Any body get same error on mi box s with android tv 9 PI.2696 version on when trying to install android tv data saver?

I need an online tv streaming app. Is redbox tv still a thing or is there something new/better

I’ve got one on the way from amazon which is confirmed to work, truth is though the WiFi is fine even for HDR 2160p streams from my server.

Hmm ... , I don't have an issue with Wi-Fi but if I should get one, would want to connect a USB flash drive or HDD to it direct, tho using a SAMBA share is also good. Network cable might be good if I take it to a family member or friend, for temporary use there.

Ola
I am looking to buy MiTV Stick... any feedback on this seeing it has been out for sometimes now. I need it for the bedroom. I am not looking for any humdinger stuff just some few streaming now and again when I am in the bedroom. I currently have Mibox S .
