I only brought a screen protector from them and still waiting for it. That was before I knew about the different dimensions, so the tempered glass might not fit my phone perfectly

The battery life is brilliant. It must be the best phone I've ever had in that regard... It does take a long time to charge though.

Doesn't bother me. This being a non removable battery and with quick charging that shortens the life span of a battery, slow charging feels saver for me. Also, quick charging batteries seems to explode more than the others....

Did anybody get their cover from Geekbuying for this phone? Is the fit and quality OK?

Orderred on the 25th, last month (12 days), still nothing. Looks like mine was shipped from Netherlands warehouse. I get a feeling that it's going to be a dissapointment, with the size and all.

Yeah, last night it took well over an hour to take the phone from 40-100% but I can live with that considering I now only charge every second day. Apparently Xiaomi has not paid for Snapdragon licence fees for the quickcharge facility on the chip - hence slower charging.

Another difference: I have used my Romoss battery pack to charge the phone next to my bed twice now. When I wake up in the AM, the ROMOSS has turned itself off and the phone is just off 100%. I knew that the Romoss had auto off, but I had never seen it happen with my S5 - the drain from the S5 was so quick, that the Romoss never got a zero draw reading to shutdown and kept topping up the S5 all through the night.

Read somewhere they include a v1 something charger to save costs but a v2 something charger will charge faster. On phone not going to try find it now.

I'm using my 2amp S5 charger to charge the Xiaomi - no ill effects so far

I tried this week and messed it up horribly. Could only get into fastboot for 2 days. Finally got it sorted and am currently running the Dev MIUI 8 Global / Android 6.01 ROM. Going to give it another go this weekend because I really want CyanogenMod on it and think I know where I went wrong. Having said that, this ROM is actually really nice too.

Do you have a link to Dev MIUI 8 Global / Android 6.01 ROM ? Im having a look now to see if I can find this

I think most of us paid with Paypal - maybe there is extra security in transacting that way

From there SAPO from my address to yours about 1 week. So about a month or two faster than ebay/aliexpress.

Looking for anyone else interested in getting it as well to put it into the Aramax pot
We will divide the cost of Aramax and Taxes.

Individual covers and Sapo envelop shipping will be on you.

Damn, looks like that Idea is a bust.

From my googling the Note 3 special edition was released in Taiwan to work with the local network carriers there.
Only way to get proper covers are from Taiwanese online stores .

Also some guy on reddit: "Just make sure it has "特製版" in the description as it means "Special Edition". EDIT: do NOT buy the ones that have 不適用 in it. Means NOT applicable (to special edition)"

I just took out my ruler and measured the phone. It's 150mm those normal covers should fit.

I tested the Takealot one (hardcover) and it doesn't fit properly. Same thing reported by other people on here
