Oh, ok. On Reddit's mobile site, that last line was cut-off. Anycase, I just orderred from them a third time now. Now problems so far. Just registerred mail that's slow, can't really fault them for that.
Orderred an Amazfit two days ago, "presale". Chose the EMS option, this time. Will see how it goes.

I am still waiting from the end of October for my stuff and seen yesterday that it has just come up that it is Jhb Post office centre with customs. Also EMS shipping, but I could not recall seeing the DHL option on the payment when I paid for it.

Anyway still holding thumbs that I will get the stock before Xmas.

I think we ordered the same deal mines also in customs from the 4th. From past experience if you dont have to send invoices it normally releases after 10-12 days after ariving at customs. I normally work on about 2 months for a china shipment through normal post so we are still on track.

Ordered through Banggood with EMS shipping (7-15 days), it's been 3 weeks and it hasn't even arrived in country yet, I would advise you to ship DHL always!

I said this a month ago - do not use EMS shipping ! If they can not send by DHL expedited, or FedEx, then walk away and find someone that can give you that option.

It states that it takes 7 - 15 days, but that is in first world countries, who have efficient local distribution of post. In this country, it gets handed over to SA Post Office, and you know very well what happens after that. They are so backlogged and inefficient, that it will take anywhere from 30 - 60 days to get to you.

It is not the fault of EMS directly - the parcel usually arrived in the country after 2 - 3 days, but the fact that EMS does not have a private local agent, so it gets done by the SA Post Office.

So I received a couple of items ordered off Aliexpress a few months ago (screen protector, cases) unfortunately none of it fits because at the time of purchase I had no idea about the different sized models
they barely fit the phone but I guess I'll have to make due

Thanks for the feedback on the GPS. It may be the much lower specced Redmi 2 only which has a GPS problem. I was researching on the Redmi 2 as it seems to be well priced at Takealot & Game - R1399. Unfortunately it seems there are no more specials on the Note 3 for R1899.

I haven't had any reboots, but I was out at a restaurant last night. Both sims had full signal. I noticed that the phone was hot as hell in my pocket. Cleared all apps from memory and it was still hot. I rebooted and then it settled down. Very strange.
