Xiaomi Note 3 now R1899

I haven't had any reboots, but I was out at a restaurant last night. Both sims had full signal. I noticed that the phone was hot as hell in my pocket. Cleared all apps from memory and it was still hot. I rebooted and then it settled down. Very strange.

Also noticed the increase in temp, I'm only running one sim and a memory card. I hope the freezing and reboots settle down.

Haven't noticed anything strange regarding battery temp. Mine is 28 degrees at the moment. When your batteries get hot go to the security tool, then battery and post here what the temp is. IIRC the default alarm for battery temp is 45 degrees. saw it somewhere in settings.

EDIT: when you go to the security tool, then battery, look at the top right hand corner of the screen. There is a cog for further settings. You can adjust the heating notifications there.

I am currently running version 8.0.6.0 and my temperature is 33 degrees. I have also noticed that at times the phone does feel slightly warmer after use and when i put it back into my pocket. I am not sure if this normal or not

After the recent update, the phone does get warmer quicker (I set my warning notification to 40 degrees) with moderate use.

I assumed it was the cover preventing the heat from disappating but it might be the update

So I ordered a few cases off eBay and a screen protector. Unfortunately the cases don't fit.

Anyone know of any cases locally I can purchase to use in the meantime while I wait for more to arrive from overseas? My daughter is going to use the phone and worried she drops it etc.

The screen protector also doesn't fit 100% but it is better than nothing.

Any one know of any please?

The screen of my wife's Note 3 broke after it fell. Does anyone have an idea what it will cost to replace the screen?

Hey guys, so my dad managed to drop the Redmi Note 3 I got for him and damage the screen / ribbon (not sure which is broken, half the screen is randomly coloured vertical lines).

So anyone know where we can take these phones to get them repaired? This is the WeChat special stock if that makes a difference.

Mail mia directly through their contact us link on their webpage.

I've dropped mine too and they will handle the repair process.

If its just the top glass thats cracked and not the actual screen/digitiser, the repair should come to less than 1k including courier fees :)

My cousin broke his N900 Note 3 a month ago. Pakis were R2650 and Samsung were R2950 to repair. Flippin insane.

Anyone here quite skilled with Android flashing who doesnt mind me pm'ing them?

Wife's Redmi Note 4 (Stock Global ROM) hung on boot the other day, then totally bricked.
Can still pick it up on SP Tools but none of the usual fixes are sorting it.

Love this phone - quite depressed it self-bricked out of the blue.
