Yeah that means you can store music etc, but apps still take up internal memory quickly?

Well cant help you there, imported a 32 gig version. Sorry.
Just installed Nitrogen OS. RR has more features but is also more buggy. Battery seems good and on 17th build camera and video work 100% but the quality is not so good. Same on all all custom roms tho.

IIRC on the latest android you can merge the sd card with the internal storage. Called adoptable storage.

How did you manage to change the colour in the settings menu?
In Nitrogen OS and Resurrection Remix you can install Substratum and pretty much theme everything.

This is with Radon Kernel 4.1 fast charge 2400 amp, Nitrogen OS build 17/03 and a Elephone QC 3.0 charger.

So semi-related, but I see that the Redmi Note 4X is out on Geekbuying for a smidge under $200.
I have been thinking of getting this as my Redmi Note 2 has really poor battery life. I am busy rolling back to MIUI 7 in the mean time to see if it improves, but the allure of a more efficient SD625 processor and the fingerprint reader is quite tempting

The current financial situation, mostly :crylaugh:
I don't *need* a new phone, it is just a nice-to-have at this stage. I could probably recoup R1500 by selling my Note 2, but knowing me I will probably pass it on to a family member in need if I can get the battery life to improve on MIUI 7 which I am busy downloading

Can always go the for profit route:
I bought a Redme note 4 (3/32 gig) for $179US + Mi5 (3/64 Gig) for $249US. Flashed Global Rom & sold the Note 4 for R5000, also sold my old Moto G (3rd Gen) for R2000.
So in essence I upgraded from Moto g to Mi5 for free.
