Xiaomi Note 3 now R1899

Hi anyone having an issue with CellC getting 4g coverage on the note 3? 4g worked fine with my Telkom sim but not CellC, even tried changing sim slots but no joy....

No problem with G4. (Running MUI 8.5.2.0)

Thanks for the reply also running the same but never get 4g on cell c but I do on Telkom
 
Manually updating to Miui 9... Hoping some improvement with battery.

Updated manually on my Redmi note 4....i feel everything is much faster, and some improvements but my battery is the same. Still doesn't last long like the very first version I had.

No change battery wise, it's probably the same like before the update or worst.

It's a pity because I have a whole bunch of ROMs for the Qualcomm version of the RN4. Basically everytime there was a new version I downloaded it onto my PC in case I wanted to revert back to it.

I wonder if you can't maybe try find a stock ROM from way back when on XDA and load it and see if it works.
 
I've been following the thread and have seen numerous references to enabling quick charging on the N3.

I'm looking to try Lineage OS (can do something else if required) but the main aim is to get quick charge working.

What's the latest method for this with the KATE version?

xda seems to use kenzo/kate interchangeably. Is the kenzo ROM installable on the kate? If not, there are (semi?)official Kate ROMs available?

When I had the RN3 (Kate) I flashed Radon Kernel that enabled fast charging. In my testing, if memory serves, it cuts 30min from time taken to charge the device fully.

Users and developers are unclear as to the safety of doing this. So in my opinion it's not worth risking your device just to cut 30min of charging time.

Sold mine this weekend for not much less than I paid for it :)

I'll miss that phone, especially the battery life.
