Bought a redmi 2 (sadly 1gb ram 8gb storage).
Can one root it? With 1gb ram thought it may be wise to root it?

It seems the 1GB ram version will still have MIUI 7.5 based on Kitkat...

Yes, OTA. Came through when I connected to work wifi.
