XP Black

It's a hacked edition of Windows XP with a lot of (mostly useless in my experience) applications added, though you needn't install them. Add the odd virus or two and you have a Windows XP Black Edition :D

Like a nlite build? **** that guy has some balls advertising his rig with it.......

In a manner of speaking, yes. It usually has some of the updates included as well, so it's not necessarily a bad thing :D

And it helps that the “licensing” is “free” I bet..but seriously, the fist 10 sites or so I googled were people warning/complaining about malware and Trojans in XP black….so, no thank you, have platform builder for xpe, so I’ll stick to that. :D

Some of us here tested it... were no viruses, a few adware programs. Didn't like it though cos it comes with a heavy overhead. And to be honest, when I set up my XP I set it up the way I like it. I don't like the way someone else has it set up.

worst part is vlc.exe on some hacked versions.i got amits version,No virus or spyware.Guess you have to be careful and always with black editon check when your pc is at idle and look at your internet connection to see if data is sent or recieved...remember turn off automatic updates first to get a acurate reading of a virus or spyware.

Sorry, I did not download any of these, is it just the “look” or is there any technical advantage to getting it?
