win 7 64bit. I wanted to make a shift to 64bit, win 7 was the only way to go. Very happy with it.

Never used anything other than XP :( but most who have used XP and/or Vista and now 7, rate 7 as way out in front. Sadly for me its all hearsay.

7 64-bit

Unless you want to be like McT ;)

No reason to use Vista, as 7 has everything Vista has.

If you intend to stick with 32-bit, you might want to use XP as well, but I don't see any reason to do either...

XP SP3. PC doesn't support 64 bit, otherwise it would have been 7 x64.

My work laptop had XP SP3 on it, but a software update made it behave very weird and slow, so I wiped it clean and installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it.....and now it flies!

The laptop specs are hardly what you could call "ultimate"....Celeron 1.86Ghz, 1GB RAM....but somehow it's blindingly fast. Love it.

Hi,

What do you prefer?

XP Pro SP3
Vista
Win 7

Sorry, but it is a silly question. Win 7 is the latest technology and supports the latest hardware. Unless you are a Luddite, it would be stupid not to upgrade when you can. The only exception would be to support software or hardware that is not yet compatible with Win 7.
