I hope someone here can assist me.

I moved into my new house and had a dstv installer come and run the wires for dstv and have connections in all the rooms for xtraview.

I have an Explora and a 4u decoder (the new small HD one which is used for xtraview).

I have the tv in the lounge working perfectly connected to the explora.

My problem is none of the other tvs in the other rooms can find any of the channels. I've have done an auto tune numerous times but still nothing.

Can someone please confirm where the cables coming from the dish plug into on the explora and the 4u decoder?

I have called multichoice and confirmed xtraview is enabled on my account so I think I might have the wrong cables connected.

There are 3 cables coming from the dish. The main one is correct as I can watch from the explora connected to lounge tv perfectly.

Please can someone help?

Your setup seems to be correct.

Once all three cables running from a Smart LNB are plugged into the satelite in/Unicable in on the HD decoder and Explora you have to phone dstv to get the correct decoder settings for the xtraview decoders.

Yeah I got the installers to come thru and they connected another cable and set everything up.

Now have 3 way extra view with two exploras and a single HD decoder.

Could you please let me know how they did this connection for you as i would like to do it myself. Regards

I purchased two new exploras and already had a HD 4U decoder. So all they've done is sent the signal to each room and then use the remotes to change depending what tv is selected using an eye.

I bought explora remotes for each so they can also record and use catchup etc.

We have one explora and the HD 4U decoder connected in lounge and then the second explora connected in my room. It works great to have 3 different channels at once.

Just double check but I think only exploras and the HD 4U decoder works.
