i'm not a chick as you know HTC, but my GF swears by it and it has served me well so far. (6 or so years)

Yasmin is very good and it has the least side effects as far as I know. I get it for my wife since she is on other medication (she is married to me so she needs them ) it was also recommended to her by her gynecologist. So far we have had no accidents and she is happy.

Afiak it depends on when in her cycle she starts to take it. Could be a week, could be a month. Russian roulette anyone

It is concidered safest to wait 4 weeks but could be safe for some after 2weeks, General rule of thumb for the pill. You wanna be safe either wait or make another plan for 4 weeks.

Possibly ask your Doc about Yaz, it is lower dosage than Yasmin and therefore has less negative impact. My girlfriend says it is amazing compared to other brands of the pill. But in this case Yasmin might work just fine, it is not an exact science and some woman have to try a few brands to find one that works...
