Does anyone know of usenet providers that index the 1080p rips of yify movies?

I know there are torrents for them but I prefer to use usenet.

Hope someone can help.

I've setup a bunch of filters in CouchPotato and it triggers a few YIFY downloads on occasion. Not sure the provider though but my primary is newztown...

Its weird because I also use usenet crawler and it never finds the releases. Think I will just add the provider again

I don't get what people see in the YIFY releases, both the video and audio quality is usually awful. What am I missing?

I'd say the video is pretty much spot on, but yes the audio is always lacking...

I think I just notice it because all of my stuff is high bitrate encoded. I normally gauge by the size, any 720p movie 5GB+ is normally good, 1080p usually from 7-8GB. Anything encoded at lower bitrates kills image quality especially in fast motion scenes.

Can't wait for h265 and VP9 to become mainstream. Files sizes are going to drop quite nicely.

Using youtube + vp9 allows me to easily play 1080P using my dodgy 4mbps line. It's quite nice, although at this point i still think if you have the bandwidth h264 1080 looks better.

If you're using couchpotato you might need to play around with quality settings and categories to get them to pick up yify releases (remember file size requirements may result in the yify releases being ignored).

Im not a video or audiophile so the yify releases (1080p) meets my requirements.

I have changed the quality settings before but I think I should relook at it again.

It's awesome if you wan't to check out a movie in an hour or less from start of download. If the movie is any good, then go look for the 4GB rip. I find these days most movies are not worth keeping :erm:
