I'm waiting for the GT300 and/or Hemlock release, major upgrades will have to wait until then.
Then again, wouldn't mind upgrading my old G5 to a G9...

Must be 3 years old already, come to think of it, still works perfectly and always has. Certainly speaks volumes about the quality.
I don't have enough money for any sort of upgrade at the moment, so don't count on it

It'll most probably replace the E5200-based system's mouse (Microsoft optical mouse, been acting up) as things stand, but I'll keep that in mind.

I'd assume he meant that playing games at 2560x1600 (1x30") will be smoother than at 5120x1600 (2x30"). Even 2xHD5870 with an i7 CPU will suffer at that resolution.

Well it needed a mouse (I do most of my coding on that machine) and I had my old G5 lying around....
