Your temu orders

got my order that was placed 16Mar24 today, 2 days before the R20 penalty.

One of the items I ordered was a WiFi Cam. It uses the V380 pro app and I have a couple of them, BUT this one does not have RTSP/Onvif open, so pretty much useless to me, as I can't use VLC or iSpy with it :(
Mind sharing the link to that said camera. I was also looking at the camera's but don't want to sit with 2/3 different camera apps. Some use iCam others use YI IoT I already have 1 that works with v380

Mine is apparently on the floor somewhere?

or, more likely, MIA.

I think that if it moves more than 1 meter in any direction, you get a random status update.

Those google reviews for ITT couriers will be getting even worse in the next few months.

Just paid 17% "duty + VAT", so ja... interesting. Unless they are actually including VAT in their advertised prices (as I would imagine they're legally supposed to)?

They're not obliged to do that. They're abroad and SA law does not apply to them. Foreign websites can show prices in SA currency as a simple currency conversion. VAT is then charged at the border.

Also think the best Temu can do is give an estimate of the taxes, as it’s up to SARS.
Amazon do that.

Sadly many SA companies don't even include VAT on their website pricing.

The last update was three days ago.

When I ordered on the 30th there was a lappie backpack that caught my eye (R133), minimum spend was R200 so I looked for a few other items to make it to R200.

I'll share my list & my impressions of the order when it arrives on the 10th-19th.
Got my Buffalo Soldier feedback, tax was just over 50 bucks, on my 200 buck order. So more than expected.

Additionally took a short while to update after I paid the tax to reflect but all things should be a-go.

I paid R150 duties/vat on a R900 order which was actually R1300 less a R400 promo code from that Save R2000 discount code bundle they seem to offer everyone.

Your last mile delivery experience depends on who handles it, my local guy is an independent contractor who just drives around in his bakkie and he whatsapp's me on the morning of the delivery and then again when he gets there, pretty sweet.

Tried. Standard bank was rejecting payment via virtual CC and normal CC

I sad

Start waiting at the front door then
Only two more days until you get to Inbound Manifest.
Truth being stranger than fiction I received a call later this morning, while I was dropping off the kid, from the courier who was, he said, outside my house wanting to deliver the errant parcel.

Unfortunately the house number wasn't mine but at least the street name sounded familiar. So I gave him the correct house number and he said that number didn't exist... so wrong suburb. By chance I was actually driving through the area he was in so I collected it from him.

It rejected with me also with virtual card the other day, then I just redid it and it worked. I think it was a temporary problem on SB's side or it takes a while for the virtual card to reflect.

Out of interest I requested a refund on my virtual card so will see if it works.
