Temu introduced me to a new circle of hell with “You have seven hours to add things to your parcel before it ships!” Thanks to that, a purchase of three things has grown to a pile of 12 things. Damn … must … put … phone … down.

I got one of my three Temu orders at 7:30 this morning.

The courier says they have piles and piles of packages at the depo.

It looks like they are hiring anyone with transport to deliver packages.
They started an hour earlier than normal with deliveries.

Yeah I can see the delay, my first parcel has cleared Customs and is now just languishing awaiting transport from a courier.

Oh well, got my second parcel ordered already. Think these two orders have helped me scratch the Temu itch, I’ll share my impressions once they all arrive.

Have a 19 item parcel incoming, for a few of us at work, still waiting on the customs bill (R1976 value, yikes)

Items are as random as hair extensions to solar powered cameras to tow ropes to plasters to motion sensor lights

Customs bill = R232

I need one but I've been putting it off because it's a nightmare to navigate all the options. I probably won't get one off Temu though as their user reviews are worthless.

I see takealot also has some cheap ones.

If you do get one with a chinese no name brand memory card with it, then rather toss it and get a Samsung or Adata one off takealot.

Is the bottleneck with Temu caused by Buffalo? My order arrived in SA on the 1st, tax paid, cleared and all but since then no updates, nothing.

I just wish some of the bigger players manufactured dash cams like Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, etc. If they do I can't find them locally.

Got my order today after ordering on the 20th of March
And I am pretty underwhelmed...



The stand is decent, is made of plastic but it does the job - no complaints

The rfid wallet is okay - not bad, not good just mid (plus cards can get stuck sometimes)

The mouse is not bad, not entirely happy with the click feedback but it's slowly growing on me (7/10)
Plus it has Bluetooth + USB Connector so not bad for the price at all

The mat is terrible, stick to your local shop for mats please

The cloths are pretty okay for the price (at R4 a cloth)


So I'll probably shop on Temu again, not anytime soon though

EDIT: Since the mouse has Bluetooth + USB Connector (I can seamlessly switch between 2 of my laptops instantly, so its' now a 9.8/10)

You're not going to worry about it getting stolen, or you still trained from the old days.

Received the customs invoice and paid via card. Payment went through, but on buffalos system it didn't. There was a message - click yes if you've paid to avoid double payment. Do I need to do anything else?

No, check your tracking, it should shortly show tax paid
