You're correct. Temu is a scamI've received 3 'out for delivery' notifications already, but no package. Beginning to think Temu is a scam. Luckily my 'test' order was small.
It clearly says "Transit to third-party Express". So yes, they're using someone new.WTF!
I've had two packages delivered without issues already, and now this!
Did they hire someone new or was this an honest mistake, I wonder.
I still got two more packages on the way, they better sort their logistics properly.

I think the Chinese underestimated how big suckers South Africans are for a deal. I remember a couple of years ago McDonald's had a R20 big Mac special. People stood in the queue for hours on end to save R20.They are hiring anyone with a vehicle to overcome the backlog, so some excitement will ensue.
