This is recent. Paid customs yesterday.

R95.- on a R884.- order. That's 10.7%.

Previous one was paid on the 17th of July, R121.- on a R1,158.- order. That's 10.44%.

So both came in lower than VAT.

I ordered clothes for my gf twice from Shein and customs was around or less than VAT.

So yeah, I would stick to Shein for clothing and use Temu for the rest.

It's actually like I said, below the 60% customs + vat total, based on the actual amount of the items, at its actual price. My actual customs % came in at 30% of a total of R2400.

I assume, that customs do not see any discounts/coupon codes/credits, hence they are charging it on full price.

My order for everything came to R554 + Customs (R714) which totaled around R1268. R714 could never have been the charge, on only a R554 cost. What would be ideal, would be to get the customs + vat charge shown when placing the order, much like what Amazon does before checking out..

Have some slow movement on my latest order, was on the way to Durban on Sunday (transited from [JHBDC] to [DBNDC]) and has not been received in [DBNDC] as yet - no updates since Sunday - this is most unusual.

R556 minimum order? For me it was initially R200, went to R300 and dropped to R200. Right now R556 minimum to checkout. Weird, would prefer an option to pay towards shipping rather than having that large a minimum order.

Tracking is still glitchy (another parcel showing site NULL) compared to previous orders, but at least the item (transited Sunday 04th from JHBDC) has finally been received in Durban, so probably next Monday 12th receivable. First poor experience on 10+ orders.

My last order was 2 days ago for R332.

I guess I am less special to Temu now.
