Your temu orders

interesting! Can they fix it?
I take it the admin charge is for every parcel?
Per parcel yes, when I asked who said it was R80 for each, that is where they didn't answer. So back to asking questions.
 
Mum got hit with R650 customs on a R1600 shein order (clothing). I guess that's expected with everything going on now.

Is Temu part of this too or is it more clothing wise? I usually keep my orders around R300-400 on temu
 
So a statement made by all cargo services who handle the tax for fastway

We get the list of the items you brought from TEMU and they are declared to SARS

SARS then adds the Vat & Duty and we pay the Vat & Duty as stipulated by SARS



From our perspective we are guided by the invoice TEMU supply when the items come into the country

The guided part suggests they can increase the price accordingly if they decide to for whatever reason.
 
My latest order also got split into a few parcels. Will be interested to see the TAX/VAT/Admin components on this one. Will report back.
 
Why don't you spilt it yourself?
I actually did split this into 4 orders for discounts, but they further split it into 2 packages per order.

Edit: all 4 orders was ordered back to back, so my assumption is that it will be one TAX/VAT?Duty payment, and one delivery

Guided means exactly that, the invoice is what is referred to when levying the tax and vat, the invoice determines what duties and vat is paid.
 
temu customer support just refused to give me the invoice sent to the courier company, so either he cant, or he wont provide it.
 
Their customer service is hit and miss - tell them you'll have to do a charge back.
