Your temu orders

useless Fastway Couriers... sent from Joburg to Durban on Friday 2pm.

5 days later still waiting and the tracking still says "left depot in Johannesburg enroute to Durban..."

ffs

Order placed on the 9th was split and half delivered yesterday, 8 days including the weekend. Along with a order from the 5th which was more annoying to wait for. It has this https://share.temu.com/TuJFlxjfzZB cordless screwdriver... feels solid with good torque. Likely to get a couple more.

My GFS delivery has been out-for-delivery since Tuesday.

Hi All,

Is there on way to get your temu purchase to be delivered by a courier of your choice?
On Shein you can specify buffalo only etc.
But I cant seem to find this on Temu.
I'm so tired of GFS express and these no name brands who take weeks to deliver.

I've never seen that option. Recently orderd it's coming via cn express.

With customs I have a net spend of over R4500 these past 3 months .... they creep up on you. Some purchases are justified and others were just ordered because it was nice to have.

That's where Temu kills you because there's so much nice to have stuff and it’s soo "cheap" so why not...
What percentage of an order do people generally return or get a refund on?

I’m sick of sketchy sellers misrepresenting things or outright lying about specs or sending very poorly made/finished junk, when that happens now I send it back or just get a refund.

To be fair to Temu I made it work well for me, of that R4500 at least R1700 was basically covering customs and taxes. Getting a 15.6" and 2 10.5" portable monitors, a 50Mhz oscilloscope multimeter, a couple of soldering irons, a mini SMD reflow hotplate, handful of cheapo ip cameras. Some ESP32 camera boards, buck boost boards, and LCD displays to join the cupboard of other similar items.

The cheap possibly junky stuff I have added recently is like LED matrix displays that I have no use for but may pass on to family members. The portable screwdriver (up to 4 Nm torque) surprised me and I have ordered a couple more, handy to leave one in the car, or again to gift.

So yeah, some items are solid, I did not buy much junk and spent very efficiently - but a lot more that I am comfortable with.

It is nothing complicated, just nuanced and also need to remind yourself since you get the value as credit to spend in future to be grateful and not hold out for something better. I have a disjointed answer since it is Monday am at work.

No-ways was I willing to drop R3700 min spend (100% back) for an item and trust that they will allow me to claim the value back over the 7 days.

The promo varies and may also give say 70% back over R1200-R2000 value*. Getting R840 back on R1200 is worth it. At the time I did not trust the promo and now kicking myself because 70% back is still so good. Also note that the prices for items that you can checkout in the promo may be higher priced than the item in regular cart - but you are getting a good chunk back so it should not matter as much!

This promo changes, last year it was 30% credit back for say 60% of the times, 40% credit back for 35% of the times and finally 5% some purchases getting 90% credit back. So you only knew after checkout how much you would get to claim back.

I must admit that there were times I forgot to claim and lost out.

*Btw it is a bit nuanced in that they may give 10% credit on first R200 spent, then say 70% on up to R2000 on the balance over the first R200. So for R1200 spent you get 10% on the R200 and then say 70% back on R1000 = R700+R10. This is not 70% on R1200. If it was 100% back was of R2000 then it would be another R800 in addition to the R710. R1510 credit in total, which is how the person in the 3rd link feels deceived. They also give another % back over the R2000 to a limit, so if it was 860% when you spent R2100, the R100 gets R860. So spend R2100 and R2370 gets claimable as credit!

As mentioned I did not trust the promo and also I missed out when I was holding out looking for maximum return, when I would have been perfectly happy getting 70% back.
I did my first Claim credit back, they say I can get the full 100% back, the order was for R1400.

I'll post here how it goes, the links @Vis1/0N posted to Temu say its a no brainer as long as you don't miss a day during the 7 days of claiming the credit back, I suppose Temu is banking on that happening..

So it does work but in typical sneaky Temu fashion they obfuscate how and don't give any directions or notification.

From the day of the order and the 6 days thereafter you can claim the promised credit back, with the amounts you earn growing as the days go by. To do so using the app go to the homepage and search "Claimcredit", that'll take you to the Claimcredit page, then you just have to click the green box at the top of the window to claim your credit.
It looks like if I stick to claiming each day I will get back R1624 on a R1410 order, the world works in mysterious ways

Just a side note apparently best not to do price adjustments on an order that you are doing Claimcredit on because depending on how large the price adjustments are it can trigger the Claimcredit promo being voided, especially if your Claimcredit order was very close to the minimum order value threshold for the Claimcredit promo.

Mine just ways this activity has expired

A few hours over by the looks of it dammit
That sucks but it looks like it could be very lucrative, some guys on Reddit have apparently made $1000s back in claimcredit often just based off of an initial $150 order and then use the claimed credit to rinse and repeat.
