I only recently started playing WoW, and i already have a couple of addons, but might miss some good ones as well.
Any one of them a "must have"?
I think the main thing is to look at which "key" roles you need your addons to fulfill, and then experiment with different addons that do the similar thing to try find the ones that work for you.
1) Boss Warnings addons (such as DBM/BigWigs)
2) Unit Frames (such as xperl, pitbull, shadow unit frames)
3) Cleansing/decursing addon (such as decursive, healbot)
4) Auction House database addon (such as auctioneer, auctionator)
5) Class specific addon (such as totems, dk runes)
6) PVP addon (such as Deadly PVP Mods, Gladius)
7) Combat text addon (such as Scrolling Combat Text)
8) Chat management addon (such as WIM, Prat)
9) DPS and Threat management addon (such as Recount, Omen)
10) Bag addon (such as ArkInventory)
11) Quest addon (such as QuestHelper, Ingame leveling guides)
12) Map addon (such as Cartographer)
Etc, I sometimes spend a whole weekend downloading and configuring addons and I always find something new to like. I also often download addon UI packs, configure them and see what parts I like best and incorporate those into my current setup.
