Hi guys

I would like to get an idea on the general usage on uncapped fibre. Please post your connection speed and main usage items e.g. Netflix, torrents, youtube etc.

Thank you

100mb, streaming video
I don't know. My ISP doesn't tell me, or care over much how much I use.
I guesstimate 400GB

I use abouy 200GB of data. Mostly on youtube and torrents.

100mb up and down speed

I use it mostly for streaming and gaming with the occasional series and movie downloads

the last data point I got from our IT guy was around 200GB a month but I guess I use more nowadays

our entire building used 17TB last month (around 50 users)

Wife gobbled trough 17GB Wednesday on Netflix (08:00 - 15:00)...

I'll do a bout 17GB (00:00 - 06:00) downloading torrents, if there are a couple series that I'm after, this is on a 20Mbps line.

... my 100+100GB is def not going to last the month ;)

My ISP does not track my usage, so no way of checking actual usage, other than on my PC, I do about 300 - 600gigs on my PC, and then there is the netflix etc on the PS3 and PS4, which will probably be about another 300gigs

You watching local NF content or do you have a working solution for the NFNaziGeoBlocking?

Bump. Would like some more feedback. Uncapped seems the way to go.

On a 50/50, I do around 500GB per month on my desktop, and then most likely around 400GB for everyone else in the house.

Just got my 100mb running this weekend, so far I am looking at 500gb a month mainly on Netflix which is streaming 1080 off the bat :-)

Oh and started using Apple Music as well which will add to that.

Full HD streaming adds up!
How does fibre in Sa manage 4k streaming?

50Mb Fibre

Averaging about 450 gigs a month, mostly streaming.

100Mbps Symmetrical using Crystal Web on Vumatel

Netflix
Bittorrent
YouTube
Web/email
Streaming

800GB/month

This thread proves that capped products will die soon.

not really, caps have their use but in saying that I see capped products that are effectively uncapped, for example Cybersmart offers a 1000GB cap on one of their products, how are you going to hit that in a month through normal usage?

20/2 Mbps uncapped on CISP+Vumatel. Have no clue what our usage has been since August, it's just awesome

50/50 Mbps Uncapped CISP + Vumatel. 1TB+ a month. Twitch, Youtube, Downloading Steam games etc.
