Companies always want to cut costs on the things that don't really cost money or make a major difference.

The real money is lost through internal processes or lack thereof.

True, hooks/triple play give value.

I started an ISP purely for service levels/transparency on network, I am the most important customer, so if I am happy, everyone else should be. Also if something is not working I can make sure it does/not have to worry about support.

Basically if you are a hipster and don't wanna conform then choose a smaller ISP :crylaugh:

I asked a Vox engineer if they knew who CW were. They had no clue. So yea, they are pretty small. Not big enough to compete at the main ISP level.

Your statement is like asking a Dell or HP oke if they know how an Apple device works.

I'm sure Vox would be bigger, they've been in the game a long time. That doesn't make CW small.

But it's good news for CW if Vox don't care enough to know the market...

FYI I have no idea who my company's major competitors are either. But I'm at the bottom of the food chain just like said Vox engineer would be.

Well you could always count the amount of clients CW has by the leaks :). It's only good for CW if they could undercut major ISPs in terms of performance and price.

Also I wouldn't really consider a software engineer or dev for that matter, low in the food chain. As for your last statement, that's sad.

The point was they aren't making business decisions.

They don't need to know who the other players in the game are.

Which makes your original statement inconsequential to the size of things.

But this whole conversation is pointless anyway.
