Youtube buffering issues

Hi everyone

I've noticed Youtube streaming on my TV has been buffering excessively over the last 2 weeks. In almost every video there is buffering, long pauses and this wasn't always the case. Only the last 2 weeks I've noticed this.

I have a 100MB line with Afrihost.

I'm not sure how to resolve this. I've tried restarting my router and I've tried reinstalling Youtube app on the TV and no luck. My download speeds are fantastic but Youtube on the TV is garbage.

Any trouble shooting you guys would recommend I try?

Haha. I've looked for Afrihost Google reviews for others' feedback, nowhere to be found. So, basically unable to review them on Google. Interesting :ROFL:

But yea, buffering on youtube was bad tonight on Accelerit (but they are generally useless in any case) on FF fibre
 
Seems to be a YouTube issue since I get buffering on my TV too, but not so much on desktop. I wonder if YouTube TV points to different servers or something or is just more sensitive to the issue.

Using WebAfrica.

No it's not the WiFi before people jump in.
 
Also noticed buffering on my TV too that started today,I am with vumatel and ISP is home connect.

I'm also watching in 4K on Afrihost? I have no issues, so like where is your point about Afrihost being bad? Look at Cool Ideas thread of everybody complaining about Youtube buffering, Vox has it, MWEB, WebAfrica those 3 are just from friends on those ISP's. So don't start talking out your ass, you have no clue why the issue is even occuring

Vox doesn't have it, specifically because I would know about it, my parents are with Vox and my brother would have a schitt fit if YT buffered. WebAfrica is another scummy ISP and MWEB, same company I hear
