Youtube gone mad?

Just me? or with every clip now you have to view an advertisement 1st AND wait for the clip to completely finish loading?!!

i've tried WA , I.S uncapped and Saix - all doing this since this morning

No such problems here.

After initial buffering I can watch the clip immediately while the rest loads.
And no advert before the clips.

What have you recently installed? Something that has hijacked your videos?

It depends on which clips you are watching. A lot of major TV stations like Channel 4 in the UK have launched full-length episodes of their shows on Youtube, but all of them have advertising embedded in the video clips, otherwise they'd have no reason to show it for free.

That also happened to me once. Maybe only for certain sponsored videos?

i'll compile a short list of clips - for some weird reason my youtube is also rather dead-ish today - metacafe/liveleak works fine.
