YouTube to introduce a subscription fee

People always like to say that piracy isn't direct revenue loss, which is correct. You can't argue that with ad blockers though.

It's funny you should say that cause you wish for peoples' death who pirate games.

I used to use AdBlockPlus, but some websites I frequented detected it and warned me to switch it off. I had no idea it also worked on YouTube videos. I will add it to Firefox again. I have never purchased anything advertised on YouTube before my video started anyway.
I have a friend who regularly uploads vids to YouTube and it's quite some work! All the filming, editing, getting interesting content, uploading, and hoping to get enough ad views to make some money (he averages R2000 a month). Thank goodness he has a regular job.

Silly people who don't contribute it any way shape or form to a service that they use ;)
Remember, only OTHER people should pay for serviceS. IT's your right to then consume for free as they already paid. Blocking the ad or pirating is then perfectly acceptable. ;)

Consumers buy things. Since you're not seeing ads, you're not "buying" anything. Hell you aren't even paying for the bandwidth used to stream the video you're watching.

A real leech.

You make it sound like I'm buying petrol guzzling Nissan (a 4x4 kind for off-road travel) every month and buying Samsung (S4 or something like that) every weekend. (Maybe people in first world do that all time?)
These adverts make no sense at all, better advertise groceries or something like that down-to-earth.

Bandwidth costs overseas are negligible!

But I'm sure Ninja will say he sucks so it's ok that he works his ass off for nothing :)

Well I havent seen a add in almost a year. It is quite a weird experience when I use a different pc and I see adds. Most adds on Youtube are either about services in the USA (might be Unotelly) or stuff I would never buy. Now if they had adds from Hi-Fi Corp, Dions wired, Pick and Pay, Spar etc... I would disable addblockplus in a heartbeat on Youtube.
