I know lucky bugger
I have to watch mostly from Pinelands.

But get a decent view nonetheless, they fly over my flat when they're on final approach for Ysterplaat - depending on the wind direction that is.

I go stand on top of the parking garage at work with my camera, can see the runway from there.
I tell my staff to call me on my cell if they want something.

I think they've found a contractor a month ago to repair the runway there, so may be back by 2012.

That L 29 that crashed was quite tragic.

we were just up the road from the beach when it happed and ran down to see what was happening and my brother also saw the whole thing from his office in the Waterfront.

Yep, I was watching from Pinelands and taking pics. The leader of the team does some of our IT work, I mailed him the pics.
