No where did I say that. In fact I said the exact opposite. You're the ones judging by gender and not capabilities. Identity politics FTL
So take away gender quota and you think women will naturally just get jobs ?

lol! Mila you are going to get flamed
Yes they will..... DA supporters voted for a woman, it was not based on quota but because we know she was the best person for the job.
Candidate A: man with all the right experience and strengths
Candidate B: female with all the right experience and strengths.
Who would be chosen?
politics is still male dominated. Candidate A you are hired. Here's your cigar and scotch on the rocks. Welcome to the team ol' boy!
True! But i don't think she had it easy at all taking over from Tony Leon.

As you said yourself people aren't equal. I'd take the candidate with the better strengths and experience. If you want to run a company to it's full potential you employ people who'll bring in maximum returns not the people who do okay but have the right gender or race so it looks good and "representative" from the outside. It does bugger all for( in fact hampers)the actual business.
I hear what you saying! I just feel women are overlooked regardless of how good or even better they might be simply because they are female and females are considered weak and emotional. There is no room for that in politics. So while i can see the flaws in quotas. There is also one pro: It does help those who wouldn't usually have had a look-in get the opportunity to represent themselves for a position that can only be filled by a female.

What we have now is heresay from COSATU's meeting with her. She/DA have not issued a statement thats published on news sites stating otherwise.
Ok, let's wait for a DA denial.Cosatu Western Cape secretary Tony Ehrenreich said after a meeting with Zille on Monday that she had conceded there was a problem with the lack of representivity of women in her executive.
