Zimbabwe collapses

Zimbabweans have the country they DESERVE!!! That is the country they wanted. Because a country is not a border, or an economic system, or a political system; a country is a WILL, a MEME. If you don't understand what I am saying, you need to start using that wasted resource between the ears.

QFT!!!

I was googling comments by Zimbabweans on Zim, and I found a facebook page called "R.G Mugabe,A true African leader!"

http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=20430918392&topic=5890

I can't believe there are still people in Zimbabwe that believe Mugabe is a hero.

Why now? Intervention was the answer a decade ago but SADC chose to prop up their struggle buddy.
Now that everything is in ruins and disease is spreading across the borders we will have to pay for our governments inaction.

Close the borders, let the destitute vent their anger on Mugabe and his henchmen.
Nah, instead, another prop up for a murderer.

Well, its either remove Mugabe or face the collapse of Zim... they have to decide or either just wait it out and both will happen...

Mugabe won't be going anywhere. Same for Zanu-PF.
The situation as it is now is a direct result and reflectrion of the spineless leadership that is SADC.

what I don't understand is why someone has not taken this guy out with a bullet already? There is no doubt he deserves it. He is a cold blooded murderer.

Its because he has money, and he pays very well to people who hold power. The cops, the millitary..
Read up on how rich his "friends" are. They are more spoilt than 99.9999999% of the worlds population, even though they live in the poorest country. They have lifts in their houses ffs. They would rather have a lift in their nice glass mansions than save the lives of children. They must pay with their lives and be put to death to make an example. There are a few thousand of these rich fkers benefitting from this situation.

Although, I agree, that still is no excuse as to why those who aren't getting paid, haven't kill him and stolen all his sht yet.
The army and the cops don't stand a chance against united civilians.

Zim crisis 'shows SADC failure'

Here's a good take on this African problem.

Zim crisis 'shows SADC failure'

The collapse of Zimbabwe has exposed the Southern African Development Community's ineffectiveness, Inkatha Freedom Party leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi said on Friday.

"It is time to call a spade a spade," he said.

Noting there had been both SADC and African Union efforts to resolve the crisis in Zimbabwe, Buthelezi said these organisations had been established "to be the architecture of governance".

"But they, in themselves, are not solutions - as the SADC has just so ignobly demonstrated."

The disintegration of Zimbabwe had "miserably exposed" the SADC's ineffectiveness to intervene. Africans had fallen prey to the notion of relative standards.

Nobody can save Zimbabwe until the despot is gone. No amount of money or aid poured in will make any long term difference. It's that simple folks. Now why can't the ANC understand that?

No amount of money or aid poured in will make any long term difference.

That's becuase monetary aid is nothing more than taking money away from poor people in rich nations and giving it to rich people in poor nations. Total cumulative aid to Africa totaled to $500 billion since the 1960s. Any other forms of aid to Africa is like reshuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Zimbabwean state media on Sunday blamed the country's cholera outbreak, which has claimed nearly 600 lives, on European sanctions imposed on the regime of President Robert Mugabe.

"The cholera outbreak is a clear example of the effects of sanctions on innocent people," The Sunday Mail newspaper said in its editorial as the European Union prepared to tighten sanctions on the government.

I am merely trying to make us refocus as Zimbabweans and make us understand the real cause of our woes so that we are always aware of the original cause. This will enable us to apportion blame to each other in an informed way and not as a way of finding somebody to blame when the real cause is evident.

The water woes we are facing, particularly in Harare, are the signs and symptoms of the vagaries of the shortsighted policy of deliberate racial discrimination and apartheid practised by the Rhodesian government.

Blame the West, well that is an old tactic which may appeal to some with less than 7 brain cells - but to blame the Rhodesian Government is the result of Mad Bob disease.

'Ian Smith and his filthy whites' were only in power for 15 years - you have had 28 years to sort out his mistakes.

I'm of the mind to blame Genghis Khan for the lack of dark blue margarine - it makes just about as much sense.

Interesting reading all the different comments by the various members.
Now one wonders where are the brain dead liberals who frequent this board and flaming everyone because of their racist attack on the Black brothers of Africa.

Afterall all Afican problems are caused by the white racist of the world.
