Zuma charges dropped!!

Read this on News24 a while ago - I dunno if I should be sad, overjoyed or scared. What's gonna happen after the elections next year?

Lets wait and see how all those people singing and dancing outside the court today feel in 5, 6 years time when NONE of the things JZ promised them have come to pass. He WILL be richer, HE will have acquired a few more wives, but they will be in the same, if not worse, position! Then we'll see who sings and dances!

so the reaction is as i would have expected from this forum.

great to see that the judiciary is well respected by most of the citizens who have replied in this thread.

lol He got off "legally". Doesn't help the country. Doesn't mean justice has been done, doesn't mean he is innocent, just means someone did a shty job and now we must all suffer. A criminal is going to be president and he has a bunch of idiots looking for a reason to kill, they don't even have an enemy ffs they just want blood. Hardly looking good is it?

That's the whole point - what do you people think Zuma will do to stuff things up even more - do you REALLY think the UN is going to allow a Zim-repeat over here? Zuma has his advisors as well, this is not the autocratic machine-gun government of Zim. AND the ANC is divided, so that points to opposition within their ranks. The ANC won't allow autocracy. And I just know it, someone will call this ignorant too. Doesn't matter what anyone's opinion is. Just be positive and play your part in improving matters. Negative people should by all means leave and don't contaminate the apple basket.

So the pursuit of happiness is only optimism?
People who cannot get jobs because of AA and BEE are not allowed to complain, if they do they leave? And people who are not affected by AA or BEE but still disapprove of it are also not allowed to complain but if we do we must leave?

Got over your flawed ideology. THE mere fact that all the people who are complaing are the cogs of South Africa that keeps it moving. Make us leave, watch the economy crumble.

And if what you say is right, the UN should have had a hand in Burundi, Zimbabwe, Cote D Voire, Thailand etc.

Nice on there. Have a cookie

Ok. I think pre-1994 was better. And as I stated before its because we had service, and I'm not white. Am I racist?

You obviously didn't experience the ignominy of being chased off a white-only bus stop, or being chased off a white-only beach, or having your land taken away for peanuts because it was five metres into WHITE territory. Obviously your parents had enough money to put quality food in the table. You are not racist, you are blind. Sorry for calling you racist.

Heita_Hola

You see, what I want to know is, why must we, who love this place (the shyt hole you are referring to), asking for a government that can take care of everyone must be subjugated to people like you who can't give a ***** (like the government).

I think its called rights

I do give a shyt about my country. That's why I live here. There are just people who can't wait to see this country/continent fail so that they'll say I told you so. I think you are probably on of them.

I can't believe you lot are actually surprised at this... Politics IS above the law and nothing was ever going to happen to Zuma, no matter what.

I think "Man this country is going to the dogs" is different from "Africa sucks. I hope everybody there dies". One is saying this country is not going to do well because of all the things that are happening (crime, AIDS, corruption) and the other is just plain bigotry.

You don't ever accuse anyone of that unless its pretty clear.

And let me re-qoute:

There are just people who can't wait to see this country/continent fail so that they'll say I told you so. I think you are probably on of them.

You're ignorant

"Your support made me realise that there were people in this country who uphold the law"

Eish ja.. Unless the decision went the other way, in which case they'd just kill the law. Problem solved. I dunno how these people can speak such sht without vommiting

Hey count your words!

Certain things were better pre 1994, don't try to deny it. There are also things that are better post 1994. But in my basket of things - 'safety' carries a lot of weight.

Yeah you were safe protected in your cosy suburb by the group areas act. Do you think the blacks in the township were safe, left there with nothing to fend for themselves like animals? There was NOTHING better about pre-1994 for non-whites.

Yeah, because I'm pretty sure that happened to you or your parents
Thats what happened to blacks generally.

What happened in Apartheid is not my fault.

AND AS I SAID SERVICES & SECURITY. Two words you complety ignore. You keep deciding I meant the Aparthied regime as I clearly said before I don't or ever did approve of.
