Zuma comments on baby

A former prominent member of Zuma's party who formed a breakaway party in 2008 agreed.

"The South African public must make its voice heard and tell President Zuma to start behaving like a president and not a gigolo," Mosiuoa Lekota said.

South Africa, a nation of about 50 million, has an estimated 5.7 million people infected with HIV, more than any other country. Zuma's Zulu traditions allow men to have multiple wives, but experts say having multiple, concurrent partners heightens the risk of AIDS.

On Monday, ANC spokesman Mthembu told The Associated Press he did not believe Zuma's personal life was a political liability.

"The fact of the matter is that we made him president knowing very well that these are the cultural strong points that he holds," Mthembu said. "He was running with these cultural views, and you never said, 'No, he can't be president.' Are you having a change of mind as the South African populace? We do not think so."

Brian Sokutu, a spokesman for Zuma's African National Congress Party, told The Associated Press that the president's relationship with a fifth woman was not adulterous because Zuma is a polygamist who may have been intending to marry the woman. But Sokutu said he could not comment on whether a marriage was imminent.

''There is something called courtship,'' Sokutu said. ''What that means is that before you do officially get married there is the courting period. And during that period anything can happen.''

''We're happy that he has come out and spoken out on this thing,'' Sokutu said. ''He's not denying anything. We think it's a sign of honesty and hopefully this is going to give clarity to the South African public.''

If I wanted to evoke an emotional response I would do a lot more than merely ask that question! And we all know it would be way too easy anyway.

Now how about responding to the rest of my post. Calling the president a dick head is not evoking an emotional response from anyone? You may not feel insulted by that comment as it matches your view but others would take major offence. That is the funny thing with "trolling". When someone agrees with you then it is not trolling.

Fsuk you really are a comedian. Everything you say just seems to blow up in your face when you swing it around.... let's just imagine for one second we applied your post to you. So what is your signature again? Oh wait, a link to a website called African Crisis. Interesting!

Mine on the other had links to this image :

The other was expressing an opinion, not trying to be disruptive. But any case lets leave it there, this is about Zuma and is irresponsible behaviour.

Dickheads & condoms aside, I think ol' JZ's wiki page gives a good indication of how our 'leader' is viewed in an international light. If being associated to that image actually BUILDS your pride for your country, you've got serious issues...

Which parts?

The part where it talks about rape? Or the part where it states "On 8 May 2006, the court found Zuma not guilty of rape, agreeing with Zuma that the sexual act in question was consensual"?

The part about corruption? Or the part where it states "On 6 April 2009, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) dropped all charges against Zuma, as well as co-accused French arms company Thint, in light of new revelations about serious flaws in the prosecution"?

Out of interest how many times have you been in there to edit that article? Great to see the ANC have allowed it to say what it does and not gone in and edited it like some governments and parties.

I don't look at parts, Lance, I look at the big picture. I also don't take the decisions in hugely politically charged court cases on face value...

Zuma, as an example of what the president of an emerging country should be, is an indefensible joke. Trying only makes you look a fool.

Well the big picture tells the story of Jacob Zuma. Hardly something to be embarrassed about. Would you really be so kind as to point some specifics out.

And then look at the George W Bush wiki page. Or perhaps the Bill Clinton wiki page.

Fixed!
Ahh, after all these years you changed your Signature, What a lyer! What a feat. So we got through to you, that was a thick scull. So the SA do gooders site is not your link anymore, What a change of heart. Why did you change it. Because you were ashamed of your misleading information and efforts, got cold feet or dishearted by the real facts emerging? Well I must say you may keep your cloth as you should first wipe the egg and Scit of your face due to all the misleading information you used to link too. Now you just need to wake up and grow up to see the real facts in SA.

And the US is the yardstick to aspire to?

We have a president with STANDARD 3. One really doesn't need to go much beyond that. The 2 dozen kids. The showers after sex. The corruption charges. The wholesome friendship with the Shaiks. It all just adds flavour.

Anyone that thinks AIDS shower boy Zuma is presidential material is as thick as a brick, and there's absolutely no point in comparing him to other leaders, with the exception of Bob Mugarbage of course.

That we know of !
The showers after sex.
The shower after sex with the thought that it would protect him from contracting AIDS from an HIV+ loose screw.
The corruption charges. The wholesome friendship with the Shaiks. It all just adds flavour.

Yes, because the difference between 19 and 24 is instantly redeeming... I'll reiterate what I alluded to earlier - 6 (I think) women with whom he fathered children... that we know of. By what has come out the woodwork, I'd quite happily hazard there are a few more unknown JZ juniors running around.

Ahh, so it is his culture you have the issue with.
